Victorville, California 18th August to 20th September 2010: Call it a C-12 or D-Check regardless of its nomenclature title, the scheduled inspection in which aircraft 27099 undertook while at the authorized FAA repair station located at Victorville, California ensured full compliance with all applicable Boeing Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) items, required Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airworthiness Directives (A.D's) and various other requirements where all adhered to and properly accomplished.

The mission aircraft was found to have been in excellent condition when reviewed by the FAA repair station Quality Assurance Inspectors, who gave the aircraft a good once over during the inspection period.

Truly a testament to the quality of Japan Airline maintenance practice and operation of their fleet aircraft. The scheduled inspection flowed with no major set backs or unexpected finding normally associated with commercial aircraft such as corrosion, cracks and fatigue on various areas of its structure.

The aircraft was successfully delivered by mid-September and soon after its undertook its ferry flight to its final deliver site in the Middle East.

Baghdad, Iraq July 2010: After conducting a successful pre-buy technical and regulatory inspection of the subject aircraft in Victorville, California, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) provided their client a face to face technical / operational briefing. Looking a bit weathered beaten from the exposure of the harsh Southern California High Desert climate, JA8912 was found fully assembled and properly preserved and serviced.

Victorville, California 5th - 12th July 2010: Having received the call from their client, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) mounted up and head toward the high desert of Southern California, thus trading in their view of Biscayne Bay for the desert terrain of Victorville, California. The mission was to conduct a pre-buy inspection of a former Japan Airliners 747-400, which was being considered for purchase by their client.

The (94th ACG) arrived on station and immediately commenced to undertake the required inspection of the aircraft, which included a detailed visual inspection of the entire aircraft, an audit of the aircraft technical records, as well as a full system run and functional check. The (94th ACG) had the technical and professional pleasure to have operated jointly with a team of Japan Airlines Technical and Quality Assurance Department, which added to a successful pre-buy inspection for the benefit of their client.

The aircraft, which Japanese Civil Aviation registration of JA8912 and Boeing manufacture serial number 27099, was delivered to Japan Airlines in 1994 and it has served its entire operational life with Japan Airlines.

Miami, Florida / Watson Island 19th June 2010: As the old saying goes that if there is a will there is a way and that was what occurred at the Miami Sea Plane Base on Watson Island on 19th June 2010. The vision that Benny Benitez, Founder and CEO of the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group in linking the historical aviation past with the future of "Miami Aviation" came true.

In the same fashion and with the endeavor spirit that Juan Trippe, Glenn Curtis and George T. Baker had when they were creating new ideas and changing the course of Miami aviation and who all at times were told that it would be impossible and that it can't be done was in fact done by each man achieving their specific goals and dreams in aviation.

One who always has admired Juan Trippe, the Founder of Pan American Airways for the vision he had, his business skills and the strength to go up against the odds, Benny, who first job in aviation was oddly enough with the original Pan Am back in New York until the end of the airline in 1991, and whose childhood neighborhood back in Brooklyn, New York is a mere few blocks away from where Juan Trippe is buried, invoked the spirit of forging ahead with a vision that would have made Juan Trippe proud.

Benny's vision was to link the past with the future and that has come true with the establishment and kick off of the Summer 2010 paid internship program for the first of Six (6) students from the George T. Baker Aviation School.
