The former USAF base was home to the nations first ever Atomic Bomber Wing consisting of the famed Boeing B-29 "Super Fortress" and of course the center of the 1947 "Roswell Incident".
The 94th ACG is spearheading the support of the Aviation Industry with such Companies as Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, General Dynamics, and Northrope / Grumman to name a few for their support, as well as the link between the Museum and the Air Force Association (AFA) of which the 94th ACG Founder and CEO is the Miami Chapter, the 317th Vice President.
The Museum is in its early stages of planning and establishment. Once accomplished, it will commemorate the service in which the Walker Air Force Base gave to this great nation both in peace time and in war, as well as serve as a combined learning center in association with the Eastern New Mexico University.
