94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group "GO TEAM" Supports a Client Lockheed C-130A Regulatory and Technical Inspection

Top view off the left hand wing shows off engine position two. The 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group inspection team conducted a detail top to bottom, wing tip to wing tip and nose to tail inspection of aircraft N130SA, s/n 3035, USAF s/n 55-00088 and its related systems
Serving as the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group Director of Flight Operation and Chief Company Pilot, Catherine Smallwood, F.A.A, CFI, CFII, MEI & Goldseal Flight Instructor inspects the "Piccolo Tubes" on N130SA for their condition status prior to the application of ground power in bringing N130SA to life for continued and required ground operational checks
As a former retired U.S.A.F Chief Master Sergent and the Director of Maintenance for the ex-"Southern Air Cargo" a once world renowned Lockheed C-130 operator "Bing" provides a vast wealth of "Herc" experience to the team, as he prepares N130SA Ground Power Unit (GPU) to be fired up and provide electrical power for continued operational ground checks

"Mr. Booker" keeps the ground operation well coordinate and ensured all ground safety rules are adhered to while N130SA came to life with the activation of the ground power unit and assisted with all vital pre-flight ground operational checks
Up front during the pre-flight inspection of the cockpit prior to the application of ground power is Benny F. Benitez whose experience with Lockheed platforms such as the C-130 Hercules and the P-3C Orion spans over 17 years. Having served as U.S. Naval Air Reservist aircrewman on P-3C both as an in-flight ordnanceman and as assistant flight engineer. Having audited numerous C-130's within the six operational years of the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group, the front office of a C-130 to Benny is like a second home

Shown with its nose section tucked in under the hangar, N130SA, s/n 3035. U.S.A.F s/n 55-00088 is in a "ready" state. Despite being over 50 years old N130SA is a ready and mission capable aircraft. The last operator of the aircraft was a research and development organization from Columbus, Ohio known as Snow Aviation. N130SA is the only C-130A equipped with an early version of a digital cockpit

Andalusia, Alabama, 29th October, 2009: Living up to its industry recognized reputation of being able to deploy to any spot on the Globe within 72 hours once secured and instructed by the client, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) found themselves in Andalusia, Alabama to undertake the regulatory, technical and ground operational review, inspection and appraisal of a Lockheed C-130A.
Deploying from their main base in Miami, Florida via road transport, elements of the (94th ACG) converged onto Andalusia, Alabama from Miami and Ohio and wasted no time to review every piece of paper and applied a fine tooth comb review of the aircraft. As an A-model C-130, N130SA, s/n 3035, U.S.A.F s/n 55-00088 was found to be in acceptable and ready shape to be utilized with only a minimal effort for a return to service.
One note worth mentioning is that this aircraft is equipped with a one of a kind electrical system not normally found on "common" world operational C-130's. The specialized, one of a kind, F.A.A. Approved Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) was engineered and installed by Snow Aviation, Inc., thus making N130SA a "highly specialized" C-130. N130SA marks the third C-130 in which the (94th ACG) has dealt within their past six years of operational / real world experience in dealing with C-130's.
