The 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consulting Group Works with Florida International University to Display an An-2 Cuban Aircraft

Seen here is Mr. Oscar Garcia, Chairman of Interflight Consulting Group (IFG) of Miami a supporter of the "Painted Cuban Airplane Project" CU-1086 is shown here at Tamiami-Kendall Airport (KTMB) with its wings removed for transport through the streets of Miami and its Afro-Caribbean paint scheme adoring only half of the aircraft fuselage.
Thursday March 27th, 2008 Miami, Florida: CUBA LIBERE! In a community volunteer support effort toward the Cuban Miami population, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consulting Group (94th ACG) in coordination with C3TS Engineers Architects Planners of Miami and the Florida International University (FIU) are working together to preserve and display an ex-Cuban Antonov An-2 aircraft as a suspended art piece within one of FIU campus building. Defecting from Cuba in 2002, the An-2, still bearing Cuban civil registration "CU-1086" brought a Cuban family to freedom when landing at Key West Int'l Airport (EWY).
The bold and dynamic Afro-Caribbean paint scheme representing freedom of speech and expression found here in America and not in Cuban was created and painted by renowned Cuban-American Artist Mr. Xavier Cortada. CU-1086 will be on public display at the Miami FIU Kendall campus by the middle of Summer 2008.
It should be noted that Miami based Lawyer Mr. Scott Leeds, Esq. was the person who's efforts and funds back in 2003 got CU-1086 from languishing on the ramp at (EWY) and brought the aircraft to Miami with the technical help and aircraft salvage / transport experience of the 94th ACG and Atlantic Aviation, Inc.
